Yes. A tourist tax of €25 per person is currently charged on arrival at São Tomé International Airport. It can be paid in Euros (€), Dobras (STN) or with Visa cards.

In terms of climate, throughout the year there are rainy spells alternating with sunshine, and it's normal to find good windows of weather to enjoy the island.

For surfing, the most consistent season runs from March to the end of September. Across these months conditions are fairly similar, with more regular swell and a higher chance of consistently good waves. Between October and February waves are less likely, but there is almost always something to surf.

The official currency is the São Toméan Dobra (STN). Many hotels, restaurants and tourist establishments also accept Euros (€).

Visa cards are the most widely accepted in the country. Even so, we recommend bringing some cash for small expenses and for places without card terminals.

The country's main operator is CST. SIM cards, with 6 GB for around €12, can be bought at the airport or at an official shop in the city centre. Coverage is good in the main inhabited areas but can be limited in some more remote parts.

To confirm the booking we ask for a deposit of 30% of the total trip value. The balance must be paid up to 21 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellations should be communicated as early as possible. Refund conditions depend on how far in advance the cancellation is made and on the services already booked.
